[Sunday, November 2nd. Right after the end of last session] [Before Christian and Abby realize what's happening, they're consumed in flashes of light, and reappear... back in the room with the paintings and armor.] [No, sorry.] [They reappear in the middle of a park. Gramercy Park, to be specific. Which has seen better days, thanks to the running battle going on between Centaurion and Eternal Warrior.] [Trees are cleft in twain, splintered, or burning. Huge chunks of ground have been churned up, with three huge craters already blasted around the periphery of the park.] [EW and Centaurion, from what you can tell as you get your bearings, seem evenly matched. EW is on the offensive and pressing forward, unsurprisingly, but Centaurion is matching him blow for blow, which is not the most comforting thought to any of you that have ever trained with EW or seen him in action.] [But there you are. Warriors Three, as it were. Overmatched though you may be individually, can collective effort turn the tide in this battle of immortal combatants?] [Session Start] * Abby 's still got her staff grasped firmly, probably for another swing in the face... so she's a little off balance when she appears elsewhere. Luckily, she can also fly, so the slight trip turns into a hover. "Wh... ah, hell, Horus. Guess patience ain't one of your virtues either." * Christian snorts as he rubs his head, trying to get a handle on this whole teleporting thing. "Yeah, she's a firebrand alright. But hell if it ain't effective. Guy was nothin' but a fuckin' distraction." So what, they could beat on eachother some more? Ain't exactly the *time*, now is it, 'zuki? * Abby exhales lowly and glances around to survey the field. "The spirits are fighting elsewhere. I'm gonna have to make my moves count. And unless they got a doomsday trap for Odin's bro here, not sure what they're waiting for except a lucky repeat of American Dream." * Abby glances to the devestated and not-so-devestated trees, and smirks. "Then again... some spirits are itching to move. Arise, rootbound ones... your vengeance for he who so casually ruins your land can be fufilled... if you rise to it." [As the few undamaged trees and shrubs animate and gather themselves into a small horde around and under Abby, Centaurion finally notes your presence. "The new ones. I'm honored."] * Christian tugs his gloves down as he keeps an eye on Centurion, waiting to see if he's going to make a move towards them first. [He slips under a blow from EW, shoves him aside, and looks up towards Horus, glowing as she hovers up above. "The avatar of the Egyptian Sun God. It's been some time since I've slain an avatar." He draws a glowing whip from... somewhere, and swings it up at Horus. "Do you know Celtic lore, Horus-on-Earth?"] [The whip encircles around Horus and drags her down hard to the ground. She's still concious and doesn't look that hurt, but seems trapped for the moment.] * Abby frowns at Horus being taken down, then replies with a smirk, "That's not quite how that legend's supposed to go, Seabiscuit." * Christian growls at that, then glares at Centurion as he clenches his fist. "You ain't slayin' nobody, Horse Breath. Why the hell don't we just put you out to pasture?" ["With a mere flick of my wrist, your most potent weapon is negated. What will you two whelps do?"] * Abby continues smirking. "Call more whelps. Although you know mythology, they're more like... treants." And indeed, the trees and shrubbery are rushing the four-legged foe, scratching, grabbing, and basically doing whatever they can to harm and harass him. [Centaurion's attentions are occupied with EW, and he seems content to weather what the trees can bring... and seems surprised when they bring enough that he feels it.] * Christian smirks and flicks his wrist with a snap before dropping low to the ground. "Test shot." He starts dashing in, weaving to the left and right, then straight at Centurion, but he doesn't stop there. He shifts to the side and gives his haunches a good screeching side-knuckle. [The attacking trees and shrubs part for Christian as he dives in, slamming his fist into a small unarmored spot on Centaurion's hide. Occupied with the flora and with a couple of swipes from EW, he doesn't see it coming, and the fist slams into the meat of his haunch, sending him reeling off to the side.] * Christian dances back a couple of meters, cracking his knuckle. "Any questions?" Then to EW. "Calvary's here, Big Guy. We ain't lettin' anyone become another American Dream." [Eternal Warrior grins widely as he blocks a gladius swipe (Centaurion's main weapon) with his axe. "There are none I would rather have fighting by my side!"] [Horus, meanwhile, struggles with the whip wrapped around her. He aura flares brightly, stretching her bonds, only to have it constricted back around her.] * Abby presses her hand against her hip a moment and herocomms, hopefully for Sisadmin or magical support crew, "If The Man's supposed to be a distraction, I ain't sure what he's distractin' for. But this is a leyline nexus. If I had to put money on a game, it'd be something related to that. Figure it out." [Sis Admin comms back. "Acknowledged. I'll contact Druish Princess, see if it raises any warning flags."] * Abby then flies forward to try and plant a staff in Centuarion's face, commenting to EW as she flies by, "Yeah, Sig, it's good to see you too." [Centaurion is able to duck out of the way of that, and scowls beneath his helmet. He leaps back from EW, a crackling thunderbolt appearing in his free hand. "More skilled than I'd been led to believe. My error. Let the Thunderbolt of Zeus carry my apology!"] [The lightning bolt slams into the trees around Centaurion, burning up a good number of them. The bolt then leaps towards Abby!] * Abby 's flight arc manages to just barely get her out of the way of the bolt, and then she spins in the air and faces Centuarion. "Is burning trees really all you think Zeus was about?" [Centaurion starts to respond to Abby, but is cut off as he takes an EW sword swipe off the side of his helm. "Perhaps he shall threaten you with a swan next!"] * Abby 's trees attempt to add to the distraction force, at least, the ones that can still do it. Even some of the ones on fire! But they seem to be finding a prepared Centuarion harder to harm. [Indeed, Centaurion manages to maneuver so EW is between himself and some of the remaining trees, and manages to ward enough of the rest that they're not able to do much harm.] * Christian dashes back and then leaps off a fallen tree, giving Centurion a sonic roundhouse at about chest height. [Christian's punch impacts on Centaurion's chest armor, landing solidly and enough so that its impact was felt, but with obviously reduced effect.] [Horus is still trying to break free, but it looks as if she's making some progress... she's got her field expanded around her, slowly but steadily pushing out on the whip encircling her.] [To be continued!]
