[Thursday, October 30th. 9:35 PM] [Geez, that's loud.] [Jacky and Christian, still in disguise at the front door, are suffering the effects of mezzo-soprano-induced vertigo at the moment, courtasy of Ethal Merman, who along with her ursine and arachnid colleagues has just descended from the sky on a rather large chandelier. There aren't many civies nearby, but those that are in the area are suffering similarly; a few passing cars have even crashed at both ends of the street.] [Right now, they just look like security guards, so that gives them something of an advantage. The overwhelming urge to retch somewhat counteracts that.] [Horus, meanwhile, is trying to make her way through the crowd to the door, but with the extra people teleported into the lobby from the theater a few moments ago, it's tough going.] [Can she make it out in time to assist her teammates?!] [Well, yeah, probably.] [The three members of Closing Night are heading for the door. WHAT DO YOU DO?] [Session Start] * Horus is going for the doors, just like she was doing at the end of last session. It's not like she has any real idea what's going on anyway. [Lloyd Webber advances towards the doors, Merman a bit behind it. Merman pauses for a split second to take a breath, and then resumes singing, louder than before.] * Christian clutches his head and runs forward, quite a bit faster than a regular body guard. He throws his fist in the path of Miss Merman only to go a bit wide-eyed as a giant bear jumps in the way. There's still a bit of an explosion as his fist hits its unintended target. [Fosse Bear indeed jumps into the path of the attack, and is sent staggering back by the force of the blow. He growls at Christian, and bares his teeth.] [Get it? Bares?] [He then rears back his paws... and holds them out in front of him, digits extended and shaking right in front of Christian...] [Christian finds himself strangely enthralled by... JAZZ PAWS!] [So much so, that he's late noticing the polar bear headbutt coming in right behind them...] * Horus runs for the door and maybe even pushes them open! GASP. After pushing people aside, anyway. [Horus makes it outside! And goddamn, is that singing loud. Beautiful, but loud.] * Christian watches the paws flashing in front of him, keeping such a close eye in him that his eyes snap out of it, it's too late and he lands on his butt. * Horus hisses through her teeth as she stumbles through the door, looking around and trying to get a hold of the scene. * Jacqueline , unable to do a whole lot beyond 'propping herself up against a wall', rather fortunately does not need to do much in the way of actual work to utilize her gun's homing feature. Her goggles are already in place, and they've done most of the targetting for her; the beams streaking from her inexplicably appearing gun move of their own accord towards Webber. [Lloyd Webber doesn't scurry out of the way fast enough. His tux (and exoskeleton) take some of the force of the beams, but not a lot, and his side is rather nicely singed. Eew, burning spider smell.] [Ethal Merman moves back a bit, keeping Fosse between herself and Christian, and goes even louder. At the same time, electricity starts to slowly gather around her trident...] [At the same time, Lloyd Webber rears back on his hind four legs... and large chandeliers fall from the sky towards Jacky and Christian!] * Christian raises his leg slowly, groaning a little. "Would. You. Fuckin'. Shut. *Up*?!" He slams his foot on the ground, sending the shockwave outward in a strong flattening blast, uprighting himself to stand on top of the shattered concrete all around him. [Lloyd Webber takes the full brunt of the attack, crashing thorax-first to the ground. Fosse, however, sees the attack coming, turns, grabs Ethal Merman, and leaps with her into the air to avoid the attack.] [Fosse then sets Merman down and charges back at Christian with a flurry of blows!] [Or should I say... a furry of blows?] [Fosse kicks Christian hard in the knee, pivots into a spinning thrust kick to the gut, then slams a paw down onto the back of Christian's head.] * Christian scowls at the bear and tries to bring his hand up but gets slammed before it happens. * Horus looks around, vision clearly blurry, but she sees the source of the singing and that's enough for her, as she reaches back like she's nocking an arrow... which appears, along with a bow, both made entirely out of flames. She pulls the arrow back and lets it fly, sending a streak of fire and heat through the air to her target. [The arrow strikes true! A blue glowing shield around Merman hisses and stops some of the attack, and Merman doesn't catch fire, but it still hurts her. And the shield flickers noticably.] * Jacqueline , after digging herself from beneath her chandlier(for values of 'digging up' that equate to 'shooting it until it is no longer a chandelier'), settles into kind of squatting against her wall as more lasers twist impossibly towards the spider villain. [Lloyd Webber gets blasted again! Man, Jacky really has it in for him. Maybe she saw Cats.] [To be continued...]
