[Redcoat makes it down to the basement! The smell of gas is almost overpowering, even through her mask, as she climbs over the debris and down the stairs into the darkened basement.] * TheRedcoat coughs through the mask and looks for a red wheel next to a boiler. [It's tough to see, even with a flashlight, as the entire place was a winding series of pipes even before parts of the ceiling collapsed.] [Redcoat hears a soft hiss, and dives out of the way right before a steam pipe above her bursts.] * TheRedcoat does that diving! * TheRedcoat then continues searching. She wishes she had a smoke, but is aware that this would be the worst place ever to do so, which just stresses her out more, which makes her want a smoke even more. But she doesn't light up. Yay? [The steam scalds! Not Redcoat, mind.] * TheRedcoat comms out. [After a few more turns, Redcoat sees the boiler, but where the valve should be is covered by more debris, including several long sections of pipe.] * TheRedcoat curses, eyes the debris and pipes, and starts using the pipe as a makeshift lever of some sort. Which does useful things. One hopes. [With a fair amount of effort, and a twinge in her shoulder that will likely be very sore in the morning, Redcoat manages to dislodge the debris, revealing the red valve wheel.] * TheRedcoat makes a mental note to slap some tiger balm on it later, and starts turning the freaking fracking froot-loop wheel. [Redcoat turns the wheel! The hissing in the background stops. Well, some of it. There's a lot of different things hissing down here.] * TheRedcoat beats feet outta there.
