[The apartments on the first couple of floors are pretty well pulverized; it doesn't look like anyone was in those apartments, but if they were, it's unlikely they're still alive.] * TheRedcoat a-keeps at it. [As Redcoat makes it up to the third floor, the damage seems similarly grave, and she's about to move on when she hears a faint groaning from behind a rubble-blocked door.] * TheRedcoat sighs and attempts to blast through the rubble with her grapple gun, aiming a little high so's she hopefully won't hit anyone. [It takes a few shots, but Redcoat manages to break down the larger pieces of rubble enough that she can move them out of the way and get to the door.] * TheRedcoat does so. With alacrity even. [Redcoat opens the door. Inside is what appears to the the remenants of a living room. Three young girls are on the ground in various states of conciousness, buried under rubble. Standing above them is a bloody, barrel-chested man, supporting what appears to be half the floor above them as he shields them from more debris. He calls out in spanish. * TheRedcoat runs in and uses her fastness to get the girls out of the way. [The girls are buried under enough rubble of enough weight... including what look like a couple of beams from the ceiling, that it's gonna take some time to get them free. The girls all seem to be be under thirteen, with the youngest being around six.] [The grapple gun won't punch through those beams, and it's too inaccurate to fire that close to the little girls.] [The man's knee buckles momentarily, and the ceiling shifts above him. ] [Looking around the room, Redcoat sees several smaller metal poles that might be used to help take some of the weight off of the man. The floor's in pretty bad shape, though, and finding the right spot to prop them up will be tricky.] * TheRedcoat sets up the poles to take some of the weight off, and responds in broken Spanish with a strong Portuguese accent, <"I am not strong enough to help them all in time. I need your help."> [The man nods frantically, seeing what she is doing. His legs are shaking, he's bleeding heavily from a nasty scalp wound, and there's a growing red stain on his shirt, but he's holding on.] * TheRedcoat starts digging out the girls as soon as she thinks she's set up enough poles. [Redcoat finishes setting up the poles, and the man slowly and carefully eases out from under the weight. Redcoat's quick and dirty engineering was sufficient, as the debris teeters menacingly, but holds for the moment.] [The man grins broadly at Redcoat... then collapses to his knees. From this position, Redcoat can see a length of pipe sticking out of his back. He forces himself back to his feet, muttering a prayer in Spanish, and starts helping Redcoat clear the debris.] [The stuff is pretty damn heavy, but Redcoat, with the man's help, manages to slide the debris off of the girls. The man thanks Redcoat profusely in extremely rapid Spanish before wobbling and falling to his knees again. This time, he doesn't seem to be able to get up, but he still crawls towards the girls to help clear the last bits of rubble off of them.] * TheRedcoat just picks up the girls and swoops them out of there. <"Get to where it's more stable. I will come back for you."> [Redcoat, with some difficulty and the assistance of the oldest girl, who's mostly regained conciousness, manages to get all of them down to street level and into the hands of neighbors, who wrap them in blankets and rush them to safety away from the building.] * TheRedcoat comes back for the man. Hope he's not muerto yet. [The man looks pale; that head wound is bleeding badly, as is the wound from the pipe in his back. He's still concious, though barely. ] * TheRedcoat pulls a spare shirt from her coat and wraps his head. She very carefully takes him up and swings him out to join said girls. <"They are safe."> [The man's heavier than the girls combined, but Redcoat manages to get him down to ground. ] <"No need for thanks. But I must continue with my work. Be safe."> * TheRedcoat then swoops off to find and save more people! If she can't find anyone else, she goes up top to help Christian.
